Guide to Izu Nagaoka Hot Spring Public Lodging Otori-so

About Otori-so

First floor lobby

Otori-so, located approximately 90 minutes from Tokyo, is a public lodging facility nestled in the Izu Nagaoka Hot Spring district. Everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy their stay at Otori-so.

Otori-so was founded upon the concept of offering guests clean and simple Japanese-style rooms, hot springs, delicious Japanese cuisine, and dedicated, friendly customer service.

From Otori-so's scenic outdoor hot spring bath, guests can overlook the limpid Kanogawa River while gazing out at both Mt. Fuji and the Hakone mountain range in the distance.

At Otori-so, prices are the same throughout the year (excluding the New Year's holidays).

Izu stone bath

Otori-so features 3 types of baths.

The large bath on the top floor is the scenic outdoor bath, where guests can immerse themselves in surrounding nature while looking out upon Mt. Fuji and the Hakone mountain range beyond.

* The other two baths (lacquered bath and Izu stone bath) are alternately available as men's and women's bathing areas depending upon the day. Guests who stay only one night will be able to enjoy only one of these two baths.

(1)There are two separate outdoor baths, one each for men and women.

(2)When the weather is clear, Mt. Fuji can also be seen from the lacquered bath.

(3)The Izu stone bath keeps the bath water especially hot, so bathers can enjoy being warmed to the very core of their bodies.
